Showreel 2008
I was coming up with ideas for a new showreel, perhaps a dedicated rigging/animation reel, and thought it might be nice to post the one from last year. Almost all of the clips are team efforts, with the exception of JVC, Bijenkorf, Vodaphone and my elephant.

Kadaver
This year my graduation film "Kadaver", from 2007 played in my former school's gallery "BLAAK 10" during the IFFR (International filmfestival Rotterdam). Hadn't seen it in a while, and the fact that i had to rush so much of the animation due to time constraints still hurts when i see it.. (who on earth starts working a fulltime job in a different city while still having to complete a 3d graduationfilm??
I did..) But i'm still pretty satisfied with the music and the overall atmosphere.

The Dreamers
My main project at the moment is with a company called Hanazuki. Check them out, they’re amazing. Co-owner and creative mastermind Niko Stumpo created a range of wonderful 2d characters and it’s my job to turn them into full fledged 3d characters. The current characters, called “The Dreamers” are now actually being made into a vinyl toy based on my 3d figure, how cool is that!:) Samples should arrive within a few weeks.. At the moment I’m also making the Dreamers package in 3d, and experimenting with assorted accessories. Here are some testframes, can't wait to show the actual toy:)

Introducing
Inspired by a few of my artistic online friends and inspirations I decided to create a workblog, as opposed to creating and maintaining an actual portfoliowebsite.
For me this feels so much more spontaneous, and allows me to put a focus on tinier projects
that wouldn't necessarily have a place on a “official” website.
This blog is a place for the projects I actually enjoy immenselyand are the reason I started doing this 3d stuff in the first place.
Like designs for things/toys/films that might or might not ever be realised and various musical outbursts.
So feel free to follow me or bother me with things you think I should see. :)
